I Care 4 Africa aims to catalyze an innovative healthcare system in Africa through innovation and entrepreneurship. We will be working side by side with the most talented people in Africa to launch new businesses that will provide innovative solutions to tackle healthcare issues. These issues include: reproductive and maternal health, connectivity, access to health, non communicable disease, nutrition, and education for medical professionals.

Our hackathon is open to everyone: computer programmers, doctors, politicians, designers, scientists, educators and all other professionals. What matter is not your profession but your ideas and desire to create a positive impact on the world.
A hackathon is a competition where different challenges are solved using any method. We expect to see technology used to create innovative solutions that can be executed locally and continued to be developed after the hackathon. The challenges should be approached thinking that technology itself will not change the world, but the people using it. Technology is just a tool and you have the power to make it powerful.
Our hackathon is open to everyone: computer programmers, doctors, politicians, designers, scientists, educators and all other professionals. The event is an active forum for people to come together and make a huge impact on the world.

We identify real global problems and let participants work on solutions that can be executed locally and continued to be developed after the hackathon. While most Hackathons cater only to tech professionals, we believe a multidisciplinary approach is needed to truly inspire and sustain change. We use a 3-pronged approach: issue challenges, call for local talent, provide speeches from world’s thought leaders and free access online to knowledge.
